Log builder Kontio chose Archicad, ArchiLogs and ArchiFrame

Kontio is the largest log building manufacturer in the world. They produce complete log buildings, e.g. houses, villas, schools, apartment houses, and saunas at their own factory in Pudasjärvi, Finland, where the surrounding forest supplies them with trees. In 45 years, Kontio has produced more than 50,000 log buildings around the world, and has built strong expertise and vision in the log construction industry.

ARCHICAD, ARCHILOGS, AND ARCHIFRAME

A combination of three A's! The choice of Archicad, ArchiLogs, and ArchiFrame was a strategic decision for Kontio. The company wanted to use ready-made, best-suited software. Development is guaranteed, as these same tools are also used by numerous other log house manufacturers.

Why did you choose your software at this point? 

"Kontio has been doing log construction for decades, but earlier there were no ready-made applications for log construction. We have also developed our own system for log design together with a software company, exclusively for the needs of Kontiotuote. So we did our own software development over decades, even though we would have preferred to focus on making log houses. Then new applications began to enter the market, and some of those met our needs, such as ArchiLogs." says Matti Matero from Kontiotuote.
